The AMAL Firebloc combines the latest and very best 'long burn' flame arresting technology, with tank protection, it also has an innovative soft bi-direction seat.
Not only will it give maximum flame protection, it will guard against tank rupture, tank collapse and also protect the environment from unplanned 'fugitive' emissions.
Designed to comply with the long burn test specification in the draft CEN standard pr EN 12874.
Traditional configurations fit the flame arrester below the valve, however full protection would not be provided in those situations when continuous burning can take place, such as an ignition during thermal expanson when flow of a flammable mixture cannot be stopped. In the Firebloc, Amal's unique long burn proof flame arrester is placed above the valve, providing full protection against such hazards.
The Amal long burn proof flame arrester incorporates a specially designed fusible link, releasing the hinged weather cowl and allowing safe heat dissipation.
