A local specialty polymer manufacturer required an upgrade to their production facility. The project required instrumentation and process equipment including control valves, automated valves, tank level controls, transmitters as well as an ASME code tank and a pump. All equipment had to be 316 stainless steel and suitable for use in Class I, Division I areas.

Although the project was relatively small, the disruption of production at the facility to install, pipe, and calibrate the equipment would have been costly.

F. S. Welsford Company offered the solution by providing the entire package as a skid mounted unit. This approach minimized production down time as well as provided a leak tested, calibrated unit ultimately being less costly than sourcing of individual components and field fabrication by the customer.
