Complete Assembly Saves Time and Money
A large chemical company needed...
Russ Bailey

A large chemical company needed to replace a failed self-operated pressure regulator and isolation valves in a critical water line.  The existing regulator was obsolete and had a unique face-to-face measurement.  The company was faced with the prospect of re-piping the system to accommodate the new valves.  This problem added to the cost of the project as well as adding to the downtime of the system.

F. S. Welsford Company provided the solution to the downtime problem and saved cost as well. The whole assembly was provided by F. S. Welsford including isolation valves and a pressure gauge as a drop-in replacement without requiring any piping modifications.  A Jordan Mark 60HP regulator was used due to its narrow face-to-face dimensions, and a custom spool piece with gauge port was included to make up the difference to match the existing piping.

The assembly reduced the installation cost dramtically, therefore reducing the cost of the project as a whole.  The added bonus to the customer was minimal downtime as well.
